Purple Leaf Tea | Purple Tea

Grown only in Kenyan region in Africa, the Purple Tea is a brand new category of tea, which is different from black, green, white, oolong, and etc. It is a completely natural, non-GMO plant, which is a part of the tea family (Camelia Sinensis Assamica). Pesticide and chemical free tea is carefully hand-plucked by small scale farmers. 

The reason the leaves are purple because they contain the same antioxidants that make other plants blue – Anthocyanins, which are found in blueberries, pomegranates, grapes, acai berries, and etc. Purple tea’s tasting notes remind of fresh spring greens and a sweet plum.
