Ceylon Kenilworth black tea
98+% ETP (ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP) Origin: Sri Lanka. Located in the Kandy region, part of the Nuwara Eliya district of Sri Lanka, the Kenilworth plantation is advantageously located to receive the southwest and northeast monsoons. Waters from the Adam's Peak range flow past the Kenilworth plantation. The Kenilworth factory is the main factory for 250 small holders (independent farms who grow tea on small plots of land about 2 to 3 acres). Socially responsible to its workers, the estate provides a good standard of living and a proative health and safety regime including medical benefits, maternity leave, educational and recreational facilities. Grown at about 2500 ft above sea level, the Kenilworth leaf has a well-twisted, wiry appearance. The infused leaf is deep bright red in colour with some depth of body to the brew and a special character of it's own for this area. The Kenilworth plantation produces tea which is acclaimed as the hallmark of mid-grown teas.Ceylon Kenilworth black tea
