Candy Cane (Peppermint Crème) makes a good hot tea and serves as a good base for a peppermint tea latte - just add sweetener when it's hot and mix thoroughly. If serving over ice, mix sweet tea with 1% or 2% milk and pour over ice. At Christmas, we serve with peppermint sticks as stirrers.
When you first open the bag the aroma greets you and teases your taste buds with the mint and a hint of chocolate. The flavor on your tongue just from the smell is lasting.
When I was steeping the tea the chocolate took center stage. After steeping the aroma becomes very well-blended. Neither the chocolate nor the mint raises above the other, it is just a perfect marriage of the scents.
The first sip immediately brings to mind the little Andes Mints. Just the perfect blend of chocolate and mint. This would be a great after-dinner tea. It makes a delightful, refreshing iced tea as well. I would highly recommend this tea to everyone.
