Before sealing, additional rose petals are added. The result is a very fragrant rose aroma yet due to the natural rose oil, the taste is mild in the cup. For culinary preparation, Carnelian Rose may be made into a tea bread glaze or as a syrup for other beverages. It puts the "wow" in a Rose Italian Soda. Rose-flavored beverages are sometimes consumed to cleanse the palate and freshen the breath.
